Support the Platform by following these four steps:

1) Go to http://www.icirr.org/findelecteds  to find your federal, state and local officials phone numbers.

2) Call your state officials ASAP (preferably before January 20th)!

Script for State Representatives & Senators: (Reminder: Find their numbers from the site in step 1)

My name is ______________. I live in your district, and I am calling to urge the Representative/Senator to support ICIRR's Platform for Resistance, Unity, and Respect. I ask that Representative/Senator _______: pass policies that limit collaboration between immigration authorities and local law enforcement; simplify the process for crime survivors and witnesses to get U visas, ban private immigrant prisons in Illinois; and defend the Medicaid program from changes that could eliminate health care coverage for more than 645,000 low-income adults and thousands of children this session! Thank you.

Durbin: I want to thank Senator Durbin for his leadership in the BRIDGE Act, his committing to ensure that the SAFE Act or other immigration enforcement measures are not included in its passage, and his efforts to stop the repeal of the ACA.  I also ask that the Senator oppose a Muslim registry and resist any efforts to create one. Thank you.

Duckworth: I want to thank Senator Duckworth for her support to stop the repeal of the ACA.
