Volunteers are an essential part to the work we do for the immigrant community. Be part of a group of committed individuals helping to move forward efforts to empower immigrants!


Voter Registration at Oath Ceremonies

Help newly sworn-in U.S. citizens fill out a motor voter registration form after their oath ceremony. 

Time Commitment: 1-3 hours, Monday through Thursday

Place: Meet at the ICIRR Office, 55 E. Jackson Blvd., #2075, Chicago, IL

Citizenship Workshops

In partnership with other community-based organizations we host monthly citizenship workshops throughout Chicago and the suburbs. You can volunteer to fill our Citizenship applications*, registration, fee waiver assistance*, and floor management.

Time Commitment: 4-5 hours, 1-2 Saturdays per month

Place: Varies on location of the workshop

Community Education

Be part of our Community Navigators team! The Community Navigator training is specialized training for community leaders around immigration to best prepare for potential administrative relief and continue building leadership in our communities. Community Navigators are trained on immigration law, the current state of administrative relief, pertinent immigration issues, and building power within the community to advance justice.
