Immigrant Family Resource Program
The Immigrant Family Resource Program (IFRP) is a joint collaboration between the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights (ICIRR), the Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS), and 44 ethnic, community-based organizations across Illinois.
Since its inception in 2000, the goal of the IFRP has been to connect immigrant families and other limited English-speaking persons in Illinois to the public benefits and services they need for proper health, well-being, and economic self-sufficiency.
IFRP Services
Services provided by IFRP partner organizations include:

Outreach that informs immigrants about the availability of public benefits and other services that they’re eligible for, and/or
-
Case management services to immigrant families based on needs assessment and who needs long-term assistance accessing and maintaining benefits and services in order to become self-sufficient, and/or
-
Information and referrals about benefits and other services to immigrant families, and/or
-
Interpretation and/or translation services for immigrants who have difficulty communicating with the Illinois Department of Human Services and other agencies, and/or
-
Advocacy with and for ethnic communities regarding their rights and responsibilities.
