Immigrant Family Support Program

​IFSP is limited to those who did not qualify for the COVID-related Economic Impact Payments in 2020 and 2021 due to their migration status. Individuals with valid social security numbers do not qualify. This year, ICIRR have many pending referrals and limited funds for distribution. Therefore, we may not be will not be able to assist every inquiry.

 

This eligibility requirements for IFSP applications submitted between October 2022 and June 2023 were as follows:

Applicants must show that they:

  • Are 18 years of age or older

  • Are residents of Illinois

  • Make less than 200% of the Federal Poverty Level

  • Do not qualify for any of the following public assistance programs:

    • Federal Economic Impact Payments established to alleviate the impact of the Covid-19 Pandemic

    • Unemployment insurance

    • Social Security

    • Supplemental Security Income

    • TANF/WIC/SNAP, or any other public assistance

    • VTTC

    • Do not receive monthly cash support from the City of Chicago or Cook County

Applicants who already received IFSP assistance in previous years may be able to apply again if they received less than $3,500 and meet the eligibility criteria.
