This week brought big victories for our immigrant and refugee communities! At the beginning of the week our member organization P.A.S.O - West Suburban Action Project had a huge victory, passing one of the most comprehensive welcoming city ordinances ever, in Oak Park. This ordinance will help lead the way for other communities to strengthen their welcoming policies.

Then, Thursday night, the 9th Circuit Court upheld the stay on President Trump’s Executive Order, which banned refugees from 7 predominantly Muslim countries.  This is a big win for everyone who helped show that refugees are WELCOME in America!
