Fellows have been out in the field getting to know their host organizations and actively recruiting volunteers. It has been an exciting time for the fellows as they reach out to members of their assigned communities in an effort to start the exciting work of getting people committed to community unity. Taking on such a task is challenging, but it definitely has its perks.

This past Saturday, over 200 people attended ICIRR's first ever Illinois DREAM Act Training. What was originally intended to be a small training for 50 people quickly became an event where educators, parents, and students convened to learn more about the Illinois DREAM Act and what they could do to push the DREAM Commission/Fund forward.
