Fostering New Partnerships

This week has been all about fostering new partnerships. Partnerships are a key part of Uniting America because they help to extend our reach into communities and further our mission, while simultaneously benefitting the partner organization.  Depending on the level of partnership partner organizations receive various benefits from increased exposure to ICIRR membership. IN return we ask that partner organizations support us by hosting citizenship workshops or participating in a day of volunteerism with us.

This Tuesday I got the opportunity to go to my first Waukegan Chamber of Commerce event. It was a lunch in at the Waukegan Yacht Club and I, along with my coworker Mary Claire, went and told people about this exciting new opportunity to partner with us. Several employers were interested in having their employees participate in a park clean up that I am putting together. We even had some people who were interested in entering into formal partnerships with Uniting America!

Partnership development is an exciting new facet to Uniting America. We are currently looking to partner with community organizations, businesses, churches and schools across the state of Illinois. If you are interested in learning about ways to partner with Uniting America visit our partnership page and contact Mary Claire Schmit at mcschmit@icirr.org.
