ICIRR Membership Set to Tackle Diverse Range of Issues

November 03, 2011

Today, ICIRR held it's annual Fall Member Meeting and Policy Discussion . Afterwards ICIRR members were joined by Senator Heather Steans and Senator Dan Kotowski who are key to the State's new Budgeting for Results policy, that will deeply affect immigrant funding in coming years.

Our Fall Member Meeting is a unique opportunity to engage our members in an on-going conversation about how we expand the scope of our policy advocacy to include a wide range of issues: immigration reform, human services, jobs, health care, receiving communities, early childhood education, and parental engagement.  This discussion will culminate in our first ever New Americans Policy Symposium Nov 29 - Dec 6 in Chicago.
