Stephanie Alban-Franco is currently a program coordinator for the New Americans Initiative (NAI) and Immigrant Family Resource Program (IFRP). Dedicated to public service, she has always looked for ways where she could assist people the best way possible. She has over five years of customer service experience. Her past work experiences have helped her understand the importance of serving anyone with the best attitude. As a program coordinator, her focus is to assist partner organizations to reach their goals by overseeing program implementation, training, outreach, and provide technical support.
Ms. Alban was born and raised in Quito, Ecuador and migrated to Chicago when she was 15 years old. As an immigrant, her continuous focus was higher education. Recently, she obtain her master’s degree in communication and media with a focus in multicultural communication from DePaul University. Go Blue Demons! Her graduate studies have helped her acquire a greater understanding of the dynamics of communication across cultures. Moreover, she has interned for the U.S. Department of State and has worked for the General Consulate of Ecuador in Chicago.
